Warlock is the original band fronted by Doro Pesch. They were quite popular in Europe in the mid to late '80s, but virtually unknown in North American. After her force solo album, Force Majeure
, Doro was taken under the wing of Gene Simmons, who worked his usual magic (i.e. almost ended her career) with the disappointing Doro
album. Intended to introduce Doro to an American audience, the album was watered down and over-produced, causing listeners to dismiss her as a Lita Ford wannabe. Thankfully Doro's career has continued to thrive in Europe, and her material is now readily availabe in America.
