Beyond Wonderland--Zenoscope
Okay, I'm on a bit of an Alice In Wonderland
kick lately-- Tim Burton's film is brilliant, and it has reminded me just how darkly beautiful the story is. Maybe that's why I've found the following so entrancing. Zenoscope Entertainment produces comic books that, among other things, update classic fairy tales into something dark, melancholy, sexy and just magical. Expect an article on them in the future, but for now here are a couple of examples of the artwork, available on a variety of products from the good folks at zazzle.com

Ace Frehley telling his side of the story
After the official Kiss biography
and Gene Simmons' autobiography
, we finally get to hear Ace Frehley's side of things when he releases his own book, "No Regrets", next year. Gallery Books (an imprint of Simon and Schuster) announced Tuesday that the trouble Kiss guitarist's memoirs will be released in the summer of 2011.
As much as I liked Gene's book, and the "official" history of Kiss that came out around the same time, I was annoyed that Gene's obvious dislike of Ace was allowed to colour both projects, and left me wondering just what Ace's take on events was. Hopefully this book will fill in some of the gaps.

Bettie Page Documentary Trailer
Here's a trailer for the documentary "Bettie Page Bares All" that portrays the life story of "the most photographed woman in history". According to the Internet Move Database, it was due for release in 2009, but it also gives the status as "post production". Hopefully it will be out soon--Bettie deserves a good quality, honest depiction of her life and career.

Dio remembered.
Here's a great story from a U.S. news program featuring two Heaven and Hell roadies talking about Ronnie James Dio. This is one of the best tributes I've seen so far:
New Rush, out Tuesday!
The new single from Rush, Caravan
, comes out on Tuesday via a digital download on Amazon. A second track, BU2B
, will also be available, and if you purchase both, there's a also a PDF booklet. The "cover" was revealed last week--it's one of the best Rush covers in years, and one of the best covers period. These tracks will be performed by Rush on their upcoming summer tour, and Caravan at least should be appearing on their next full studio album, Clockwork Angels.

Amityville "Horror" house up for sale
I've you've got a million bucks burning a whole in your pocket, and a taste for the macabre, you can buy the infamous haunted/hoaxed house in Amityville, New York:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/7762873/Original-Amityville-Horror-house-on-sale-for-1.15-million.html
Seems a little steep for a home where 5 people were shot to death, but I guess the movies have given it a certain infamy value
